Paragraphs in HTML

Normal English essays and writings are written in the style of Aphorisms and Paragraphs. In HTML, we have  the <p>, </p> tag which are paragraph tags.
These tags do not differentiate the text in any way. The paragraph tag tells the Search Engines and other indexing sites that the following text is a paragraph.

<p>This is a paragraph</p>
<p>This is another paragraph</p>

Modern day browsers automatically add a paragraph before and after a paragraph.
As with other HTML tags, the Paragraph tag should be properly ended with the end tag. Even though the browsers can tolerate the errors in closing end tags, modern and advanced browsers who demand the proper closure of HTML tags may show up unexpected errors and will thus not allow skipping of end tags.
