3.3. Cancer and homoeopathy
In the methodology of case taking in homoeopathy, a complete disease picture of the patient is taken. This comprises of the physical generals, the physical particulars, the mental generals, thermal reaction, the constitutional and physical make up and other in-depths of the patient which allow us to compare it with the proven drug pictures and thus on the basis of similarity, the indicated medicine is prescribed to commence the course of treatment.
The disease picture which is obtained by case taking techniques covers every aspect of the patient which is termed as phenotype in the language of genetics.
We know that the phenotype is the expression induced by the proteins which are released by the expression of the genes and thus the proteins which are expressed are found in hormones, enzymes, secretion of the pituitary gland in the form of stimulating hormones or also in the form of contraction of the heart muscles and the skeletal muscles resulting into desired action.
Here we infer that since the phenotype is a direct expression of the genotype through the proteins (proteomics), this means that the disease picture which is collected by the homoeopathic case taking techniques give us a complete phenotypic disease picture, which implies it gives us a complete genotypic disease picture. In other words, the disease picture of the patient is a genetic constitutional disease picture of the patient for the particular disease at the particular time and place.
Thus homoeopathy works in the way the disease has progressed and has an ability and potential to reverse the changes on the fundamental law of prescription on Similimum. Homoeopathy does not consider any single remedy or a few remedies as a treatment for cancer. Instead it is the case taking procedure which indicates the disease picture of the patient, the phenotype which directly indicates the genetic constitutional disease picture of the patient and on the basis of which the indicated medicine is prescribed. Follow up constitutes the re-case taking of the person to judge the constitution of the patient and the disease picture to know whether the medicine of the patient remains the same or gets changed.
